From 1994-2007, AWTA donated an average of $1500 annually to eight local organizations, a total of more than $19,000 in just over a dozen years. AWTA grants helped support junior programs for National Junior Tennis League, Capital Area Tennis Association, Capital Area Professional Tennis Association, Tennis Forever, Central Texas Tennis Association (CTTA) and Set2Serve. Our grants also benefited junior tennis and purchased enhancements such as shade umbrellas and benches at four local public tennis centers: South Austin, Pharr, Caswell, and Lady Bird Lake.

Our grants are distributed to not-for-profit tennis organizations and city tennis centers who apply for assistance and are evaluated on a year-to-year basis. If your organization qualifies and you'd like more information about the process, please contact our President.

We gained all the funds for these donations from profits from our monthly tennis events and from the small excess we are able to garner from our extraordinarily reasonable annual dues. We also offer advertising space in our membership directory to increase the monies available for grant-giving.
